Garden and such...
Our garden is in full production mode. We have many jalapenos again this year! Charlie had made a big fresh batch of salsa for when I got home Monday night. YUMMY!

This is our first zucchini. Charlie waited to pick it while I was gone back to KS. So the night we got home we got a flash light out and went out to the garden to harvest it. It is on the big side so I will probably be using it for some zucchini cakes or bread!

Yellow squash yet to be harvested.

24 weeks 5 days, dresser and gifts!
The baby is growing, and so am I...I can look down and see my stomach moving as a result of whatever baby is doing...kicking, punching, flipping etc.!
My friend Pam (from Oklahoma) made this adorable activity blanket for the baby. As you can see it is very soft and colorful complete with "Dorssom" embroidered on the face of the dinosaur/creature. The blanket will be great for playtime! She also sent a puppy dog stuffed animal with the baby's first Jayhawk cup on it-clearly she knows Charlie well!

22 weeks 3 days, Garden, Stroller, Diapers...
I was hoping to have pictures from the Relay for Life event on Friday night. Unfortunately, just after I finished walking my designated hour on the track the storms moved in and everything got moved frantically indoors(not quite the same atmosphere). The event was great. It was my first time participating in one and is quite a spectacle for those who have never been. I was able to raise over $845 in contributions, $25 in Luminaries and $40 in additional raffle tickets. We placed 3rd overall as a team and the event raised over $23,000. I am ready for next year! Thank you to everyone who contributed!
Below are several pictures from our garden. In addition to our regular tomatoes and peppers, we planted yellow squash and zucchini. We also have basil and rosemary.

After some recent shopping on ebay I decided to go ahead and order a couple of the diapers we are going to use. I was able to get a great a deal on them, hence why I ended up ordering them. The cloth diapering system we plan on using is called gdiapers (gdiapers.com). The system has both a cloth and disposable insert, so you can pick which would be best based on your activities. We received the order on Friday and I could not get over how cute and small they are, so I had to share!

More bargain shopping on ebay lead to another great purchase! We bought a Phil & Ted Stroller (philandteds.com). I had done a lot of research on this purchase before deciding on this stroller. The other type of stroller we were thinking about was a BOB. This stroller is amazingly versatile, it has a number of different sitting arrangements and will work with our car seat. The stroller collapses for travel and can handle two kids without having to push a double wide! I put the second child attachment on for the last picture (in just one of the many ways it can be used). The poor bear is getting a workout-modeling for the baby...

20 weeks 6 days, Finished Crib and Awards!
Over the weekend we cleaned out our front bedroom to make room for the baby. This made Avery quite nervous, moving all the furniture, packing etc. She seems to have adjusted now to the change. On Monday night Charlie completed the crib and we set it up. He did a great job! It looks amazing and we can't wait to have a baby to put in it. He is working on the dresser now.
Last, since I know Charlie probably won't say anything about this, I thought I should. From the first quarter of the year Charlie won two awards for his classroom instruction. He was awarded the Company Grade Officer of the Quarter for both his squadron(29th Student Squadron) and for ASBC (Air and Space Basic Course) all instructors. Good Job Charlie!
