November!

We took a quick trip up to DC to see my sister my Birthday weekend.  Had a great time and Kels has quite the spot-right behind the Capital building!
We didn't do one thing in particular while we were there-just a little bit of everything!  Visited with Aunt Nancy & Uncle Terry, met up with an old KS friend (Clint), went to the Eastern market, shopped, toured the National Mall area, played in parks, rode the carousel, ate (would recommend Keva- Mediterranean Tappas where we went for my Birthday dinner) and enjoyed the beautiful Fall weather.  Once we got out of the car Friday we didn't get back in until Sunday when we left.  LOVE walking as mode of transportation!

Vera continues to be quite the lil eater!  The other day she grabbed Stella's pretzel rod out of her hand and quickly tried to annihilate it.  She loves when Stella plays with her-defintely her favorite!  Dianne tells us at school she loves having all the kids around her so she can see what everyone is doing.

I think Stella has finally made the transition over to her new bed.  She was hard to convince-she LOVED her crib!  In trying to talk her into sleeping in her new bed I said, "Stella, Daddy built this new bed for you".  Stella's response "...but Daddy built this bed (pointing to crib) for Stella too."
Next topic....

So last Saturday night Stella slept in her bed and Vera in her crib.  The first night of the girls sharing their room-I almost felt sad about Vera already being that old and not sleeping in our room. Until Sunday night when Vera was right back in our room sleeping after Stella woke her up going to bed.

We had a quiet Thanksgiving-we went over to Dianne's House with a bunch of other friends for a Thanksgiving meal.  Tomorrow let the Christmas season begin-we are putting up Christmas decorations after not having them out for 4 year!  I am not even sure what we have anymore.

Thankful today and always.

 Park time!

Walking the National Mall

I know it is blurry but I loved the little worried look she has on her face!
In the front yard...speaking of anyone want to help rake some leaves?!?!

Happy Halloween!

We knew Halloween night could be a little dicey-after working and school all day-on of course a day that Stella decided she could do without a nap.  So we got plenty of pics of the girls in their costumes before the big day!    We had a great time last night Trick or Treating in Hilton.  Stella warmed up to the idea a couple houses in and keeping tradition when she got home she dumped out her candy on the floor so her and Charlie could look at it all!  It was a great crisp fall evening.

Vera started on rice cereal a couple weeks ago-but will now put anything in her mouth she can get her hands on-including a rosemary cracker.
My mom came to visit just in time for sandy to come-I felt like we were holding her hostage.  We weren't able to do a lot outside the house but we had fun spending time with her anyway!  She was able to fly home on Tuesday evening.  The girls had a great time with their Gigi.
 Making brownies with Gigi.

Making a paper spider with Gigi.

 Skyping with Auntie (kels).
We carved pumpkins Tuesday night!  Stella was very "helpful".
