A little beach time

Charlie's mom, Martha, came to visit for a long weekend.  We stayed very busy laying sod, putting in the rest of our garden,  installing outdoor speakers. shopping, park and library trip and most importantly a beach picnic trip.  I need to snap some outside pics of the new patio and garden planted.

I definitely failed as a mom on this trip...Last minute I grabbed a beach towel and I should of thought way beyond a towel.  No spare clothes, so I took Stella's dress off and let her go in her onesize, then the diaper had to go, when we were done back went on the dress minus the onesize, and a clean dry diaper.  Next time, swimsuit, spare clothes, and swim diaper!  This gal loves the water-proclaiming at one point "tubby time"(aka bath time in out house).

At the park and reading with Granny.

 I found the sand!

I like to throw the sand and let it drop between my fingers!

Now crawling in the sand and water!

The diaper removal.

 Thinking about laying down.

 Daddy found a crab.

Easter Weekend

We went up to Annapolis Friday night to visit with Kels and Brady.  Unfortunately, what was suppose to be a 3 hour trip turned into a 5 hour trip with all the traffic....never again on a Holiday weekend.
Saturday we just hung out and went downtown Annapolis walked around and had lunch on the water.  Then Saturday afternoon Charlie and I left Stella with Kels and Brady and got a night alone in DC.  This was really our first (my first) true night away from Stella since she was born.  We bummed around DC Saturday evening hitting up several places for drinks/dinning.  Being pregnant I am always looking for other things to drink then the regular soda/water.  At the first place we went the server suggested Bubble Tea.  It was the best "pregnant" drink I think I have ever had...and it looked beautiful.  It was lavender tea, with mint and berries, and mango tapioca drops in the bottom.

Making Easter egg sugar cookies...she thought the sprinkles were amazing!

Stella got an Easter package in the mail from her cousins.  Included were some stick on earrings-she thought these were great.  When I put them on her she said "pretty ? mama".  Seeing these brought back so many memories from when Kels and I were younger and LOVED to have these on!

Hanging out at Kels and Brady's on Saturday morning.

Charlie also delivered the music stand he made for Brady as an early Birthday gift.

Sunday morning we met up with Kels and Brady to get Stella and my cousin Sarah and her husband Rodney for Easter Brunch.  Kels picked a great place with an amazing spread of food.

Charlie, Stella and I made a side trip down to the National Mall, Lincoln Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery.
