Last Baby Free Vacation!

We decided we should take one last vacation without a baby in tow! We went to Savannah, GA then on to Hilton Head Island, SC. We had a wonderful time and were actually greeted with cooler weather!

These were the views from out rooftop pool in historic Savannah. This was Charlie's first trip to Savannah and my second. We did some browsing/shopping and then enjoyed a progressive dinner Friday evening enjoying appetizers at each stop. Our stops included the Moon River Brewery, Churchill Pub and Jazz'd Wine & Tapas Bar. This was the second time I had been to Jazz'd, and it was just as good the second time as it was the first. The bartender was even kind enough to make a virgin mojito for me!

Hilton Head Island-This was the first for both of us. We thought it had some "Island Life" similarities to Martha's Vineyard. What was amazing to me was EVERYONE walked and biked everywhere. I am not sure I have ever seen so many people on bikes or walking.
We were able to get several good days of beach time! After being on the beach we would always make a stop back at the pool! We stayed at the Marriott Resort & Spa and would recommend the accommodations, especially for those traveling with kids.
This was taken at The Wreck of Salty Dog where we had lunch on the 4th.

We went to several of the harbors-we each had our favorite boats!
This is my 32 weeks 5 days picture!

On the beach, it was a little windy one day!

After dinner on the 4th, before the fireworks. We watched the fireworks at Shelter Cove, pictured below.

Alabama Baby Shower

This past weekend my very good friend Emily Julian hosted a baby shower for me here in Prattville. My neighbors, friends, classmates and coworkers were very generous to baby Dorssom.
Emily, & Paul (her little guy) and I. Emily will be watching baby D while I go to school. So Paul will be baby D's first playmate!

Dresser & Happy Birthday Avery & Moxy

Today we went to Oak Mountain State Park for a Birthday treat for the girls. Avery turned 8 on the 16th and Moxy will be 6 on the 24th. We always try to take them some place fun for their Birthdays. It was also the first time we had been to Oak Mountain Park-a very nice park!

Avery after swimming and then rolling in the dirt! Needless to say they both got baths when we got home.

Charlie and Avery.
Moxy wading in the water. She likes to get her feet wet but is not a huge fan of actually swimming, unless there is an incentive.
Avery following Charlie. Avery LOVES to swim!

This week Charlie completed the dresser. The nursery looks great-thanks to his wood working skills!
I already put a few things away (little gdiapers).
Finishing touches.

Putting the last drawer in!
