Some visitors, a birthday, an award and...favorite video's of the week

Because I know Charlie will never say anything....Friday night Charlie received an award for being Company Grade Officer of the year for Air Combat Command A3.  We attended a formal award ceremony and dinner.  We had a nice evening out!  The pictures aren't the best-but getting dressed up is always fun once in a while.  Charlie's commander was there with his wife to support Charlie and his accomplishment.

We are always happy to have a visit from Gigi!

Stella has set up her own tech station using my mom's phone and laptop.
Stella teaching Vera how to use an iPhone-with her pinky!
 Stella not want to smile...

Gigi with her girls.  Stella has been talking about Gigi's next visit since the day she left.  While my mom  was here we got to enjoy a night out to see a movie...Argo, loved it!   My mom and I also snuck away for an afternoon to go dress shopping for the formal.  Can't tell you the last time I saw a movie and shopping all in the same weekend without little hands!
Charlie's Birthday-my first ever German Chocolate Cake.  Stella helped put all the candles in the cake but was totally freaked out after I lit the candles.  Vera on the other hand was ready to dig in!

Auntie came down for the weekend.  Stella and Kels creating shopping lists together.

Look who is on the move!  She is a bruiser!  Watch out!

We got Charlie a fire pit for his Birthday, last night we had hotdogs and smores in the pit!
 Stella playing in the garden!

Playing outside-notice the outfit with shoes on the wrong feet!

We finished swim lessons on Saturday.  Glad to have our Saturday morning's back!

Two of my favorite videos this week:

(my nephews on a snow day-Stella has watched this so many times-I think trying to figure out what is going on)

(HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMILY!!!-wish we could of been there)

Trip to KS

Last week we traveled back to KS for a couple days.  For Stella, it was another much anticipated airplane ride.  Today she asked me,  "where are were flying next?"
We arrived Thursday and came home Monday but got to enjoy seeing family/friends and attending a KU Basketball game.
The girls did great traveling-Stella is pretty self sufficient, she gets on the plane, buckles in, waits for a movie and juice after take off and she is set.  We had a lay over in Nashville-they had a nice kids play area which was a great way to spend some time between flights.  My dad hosted several of our friends on Sunday night-which was a great way to catch up with people...Thanks Dad and Ann!
Now that we are home we are all suffering from colds.  Vera started first, then me, then Charlie and finally Stella this morning.  Despite being a little under the weather, we went to swim lessons again Saturday morning and both the girls did great.  Vera is quite the "lil water bug".  Stella practices for swim lessons in the bath.  Looking forward to some warm weather and days at the beach with the girls!

On Friday we took Stella and Henry to gymnastic facility that opens their doors to tots for a couple hours.  We did this last year too!  Stella LOVES it!

 Henry jumping!

They have a long trampoline you can bounce/run down and jump in the foam pit!
Getting ready to jump.

 Back for more-jumping in together!
