Dresser & Happy Birthday Avery & Moxy

Today we went to Oak Mountain State Park for a Birthday treat for the girls. Avery turned 8 on the 16th and Moxy will be 6 on the 24th. We always try to take them some place fun for their Birthdays. It was also the first time we had been to Oak Mountain Park-a very nice park!

Avery after swimming and then rolling in the dirt! Needless to say they both got baths when we got home.

Charlie and Avery.
Moxy wading in the water. She likes to get her feet wet but is not a huge fan of actually swimming, unless there is an incentive.
Avery following Charlie. Avery LOVES to swim!

This week Charlie completed the dresser. The nursery looks great-thanks to his wood working skills!
I already put a few things away (little gdiapers).
Finishing touches.

Putting the last drawer in!

Baby Shower!

My sister and sister-in-law hosted a wonderful shower for me and Baby D on Saturday. It was such a great time! I enjoyed being able to see so many people and be the recipient of such generous gifts. Thank You! When I returned home Monday night I got to show Charlie everything (and let Moxy snoop/sniff it all), it was so much fun! Charlie was concerned where everything was going to go. Needless to say we can't wait to put all these great gifts to use!

My sister, mom and I.

My mother-in-law(Martha) and sister-in-law (Erin) and I. Erin is expecting baby #4 in July!

Everything was decorated to a "T". These are the handmade soaps that were party favors.

Some pics of the beverage and food spread. Quite impressive!

These are all pics of me opening gifts from various people! So much great baby stuff!

Trying to figure out the best way to get everything home!

My mom, sister and I with our matching purses. Everyone always wants to know where we get our purses from, so we thought we should take a pic with all three of us with our different colors! The purses are actually from a little shop downtown Prattville!

Garden and such...

Our garden is in full production mode. We have many jalapenos again this year! Charlie had made a big fresh batch of salsa for when I got home Monday night. YUMMY!

This is our first zucchini. Charlie waited to pick it while I was gone back to KS. So the night we got home we got a flash light out and went out to the garden to harvest it. It is on the big side so I will probably be using it for some zucchini cakes or bread!

Yellow squash yet to be harvested.

This is our first year for gladiolus in the flower bed in our back yard and they are doing amazingly well!

The dresser in progress....the drawers are in the works now!

I know this is late, because I am now 29 weeks-but this is what I looked like then!
